Fall:
MICR 4123/5123 Virology
A newly designed course teaching the fundamentals of virology. Covers virus diversity & evolution, virus structure, infection & immune responses, vaccines & virus technology as well as virus discovery, emergence and epidemiology. Both eukaryotic and prokaryotic viruses will be discussed.
It is aimed at students with an existing understanding of microbiology & genetics. The requirements for Organic Chemistry and Advanced Microbiology can be waived upon request (email me).
